This hike is a short but attractive part of a much longer hiking route, established in 1989 and called the “Wayfarer’s Path”. It extends from Bellano to Varenna along a narrow mule track winding along the mountainside, among chestnut woods and gentle cultivated slopes.

Belvedere Makallé affords magnificent views of the tip of Bellagio, the watershed between the two branches of Lake Como.
